The Degree Course of B.H.M.S [Degree] shall comprise a course of study consisting of curriculum and syllabus provided in these regulations read over a period of 4 ½ year and compulsory Internship of one year duration after passing the final degree examinations.

Minimum Qualifications

No Candidate shall be admitted to the B.H.M.S [Degree] Course unless he / she was:-

  • Passed the XIIth Science or its equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as his subjects.
  • Attained the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of his admission to the First year of the course
  • Candidate have to appear & pass the Medical Entrance Test NEET

Curriculum - 1st Year B.H.M.S

Any undergraduate may be admitted to the First BHMS examination provided that he has regularly attended the following course of instruction in the subjects of the examination, theoretical and practical for not less than one and half year.

The course includes lectures, demonstration / practical clinical classes / seminars etc. The subjects shall be as shown below:

  • Anatomy
  • Physiology including Bio-Chemistry
  • Homoeopathic Materia Medica
  • Organon of Medicine and Homoeopathic Philosophy
  • Homoeopathic Pharmacy

Curriculum - 2nd Year B.H.M.S

No candidate shall be admitted to the IInd year BHMS examination unless:

  • He has passed the first BHMS examination.
  • That he has regularly attended the following courses of instruction in the subjects of the examination, theoretical and practical for not less than one year.

The course includes lectures, demonstration / practical clinical classes / seminars etc.
The subjects shall be as shown below:

    • Pathology and Microbiology
    • Forensic Medicine and Toxicology
    • Homoeopathic Materia Medica
    • Organon of Medicine and Homoeopathic Philosophy.

Curriculum - 3rd Year B.H.M.S

No candidate shall be admitted to the III BHMS examination unless:
He has passed the second BHMS examination or has ATKT
That he has regularly attended the following course of instruction in the subjects of the examination, theoretical and practical for not less than one year.
The course includes lectures, demonstration / practical clinical classes / seminars etc.

    • Surgery, including ENT, Ophthalmology, Dental and Homoeopathic Therapeutics.
    • Obstetrics’ & Gynaecology
    • Organon of Medicine and Homoeopathic Philosophy

Curriculum - 4th Year B.H.M.S

No candidate shall be admitted to the IV BHMS examination unless:

      • He has passed the Third BHMS examination or has ATKT
      • That he has regularly attended the following courses of instruction in the subjects of the examination, theoretical and practical for not less than one year.

The course includes lectures, demonstration / practical clinical classes / seminars etc.
The subjects shall be as shown below:

      • Practice of Medicine and Homoeopathic Therapeutics
      • Preventive and Social Medicine
      • Homoeopathic Materia Medica
      • Organon of Medicine and Homoeopathic Philosophy
      • Homoeopathic Repertory and Case taking

Internship Training

One year compulsory rotator internship after passing the Final BHMS Examination. The degree of BHMS shall not be conferred unless the candidate has worked as internee for the prescribed duration upto the satisfaction of the Head of the Institution in a Hospital approved by the University.

All parts of the Internship shall be undertaken at the hospital attached to the College and in cases where such hospital cannot accommodate all of its students for internship, such students may undertake their internship in a hospital or dispensary run by the Central Govt. of State Govt. or local bodies.
